A few pictures of the C.A.R.E. van. The Colorado Animal Rescue Express is another amazing organization helping save pets. C.A.R.E. arranges transportation of dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Colorado and neighboring states that are going to rescue groups or adoptive homes. Tango, our first foster dog came from Missouri, and Mal came from Kansas.
Meet Mal. She is a beauty! Mal is about 10 months old. She has a bit more energy than Tango did which made getting her first picture a little challenging. She sure is a happy gal and was pretty excited for her next adventure.
Can you see her in the below picture?. She jumped right up front. I was following in my car and it was hilarious to watch her. It would probably be good for Mal to have a vehicle doggie gate. [Don't worry, we were at a stop when I took this picture.]
Mal made herself at home pretty quick. Jumped right in and tried sharing water with Avie.
Avie didn't much care for this idea.
Avie, "Really? Another foster dog?"
Mal, "Wanna be BFF's."
"Let's play."
"Wanna play tug-a-war"?
"You gotta grab the other end to play."
Mal learned to stay out of the kitchen her first night with the help of Avie.
"Don't do it Mal. Stay like the good humans that feed us said to do."
Look at that happy grin.
If you're interested in adopting Mal, you can find out how on the Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue Website
Our not so happy cats. It would probably be best for Mal to be with a family that doesn't have cats. She likes to chase them. Hey, she is a dog after all. :)
And they are out! Mal has so much energy I was starting to wondering if she'd ever fall asleep. Proof it's possible to wear her out. ;) (The funny looking rooster toy came with Mal. She loves it.)

I love it when they sleep with their arms straight out like that! My Leo sleeps that way.
ReplyDeleteMal will be the perfect companion for an active owner! She's a busy, pretty girl.
